Blue Skies Hospice House
Blue Skies Hospice has one of the few in-patient facilities in the area, located at 2714 169th Street in Hammond, Indiana. We offer a two bed facility with a nurse/patient ratio of 2:1. Our patients receive 24 hour care by a registered nurse as well as a certified nursing assistant. We specialize in Alzheimer dementia patient care and are able to provide unparalleled symptom management. Our patients receive pain and anxiety management tailored to their unique situation. Blue Skies Hospice sets itself apart from other hospice providers by offering short term in-patient care for medication regulation related to behavioral and pain issues if the patient’s condition requires treatment outside of the home. When the Blue Skies Hospice staff effectively manages and treats the patient’s pain, the patient is free to return home with the caregiver.
Our in-patient rates for room and board are the lowest in the area. A sliding scale is also in place for families who are undergoing hardship related to caring for their terminally ill loved one.
