Blue Skies Hospice House
Blue Skies Hospice has one of the few in-patient facilities in the area, located at 2714 169th Street in Hammond, Indiana. We offer a four bed facility with a nurse/patient ratio of 2:1. Our patients receive 24 hour care by a registered nurse as well as a certified nursing assistant. We specialize in Alzheimer dementia patient care with unparalleled symptom management. Our patients receive pain and anxiety management tailored to their unique situation. Blue Skies Hospice sets itself apart from other hospice providers as we also offer short term in-patient care for medication regulation related to behavioral and pain issues when this is unable to be accomplished at home. Once these issues are controlled the patient is able to return home with the caregiver if so desired.
Our in-patient rates for room and board are the lowest in the area. A sliding scale is also in place for families who are undergoing hardship related to caring for their terminally ill loved one.
