Hello, my name is Lisa Guzman and I am the founder of Blue Skies Hospice. I really care about people and caring about others helps make this world a better place. If we don’t care about each other, nothing will change. Too often we hear about “bad” news instead of trying to do something to change the outcome or make the world more comfortable or enjoyable for others. Blue Skies Hospice is organizing a fundraising campaign to rehab an old library that is rich in craftmanship and character. Rehabbing this building will allow us the opportunity to open a veteran’s treatment and care center, and expand nurse aide training programs. In order to do this, the beautiful building is in need of major repairs. These include a new roof, gutters, windows, heating and cooling, electrical and plumbing. In addition, interior repairs are needed to accomidate handicap individuals. Our vision is rehabbing this local landmark will give the staff of Blue Skies Hospice the facility that is necessary to provide quality care the the residence of Northwest Indiana deserve.
